Voting for the Great New Idea competition at Food & Drink Expo is now open with the food and drink industry able to select their favourite innovation that has been launched in the past six months.
With just four weeks until the show opens its doors on 18 April at the NEC in Birmingham, companies exhibiting at Food & Drink Expo can still enter their innovations. Around 100 products have already been put forward, including Nim’s Fruit Crisps, with its healthy range of fruit and vegetable crisps; Craftbeer Growlers, with its PEGAS CraftTap 2.0; Martorana Snacks, with its Pastinos Classic Pesto and Tomato & Sweet Basil snacks; and Purbeck Ice Cream, with its Dorset Wasabi ice cream.
The organisers of Food & Drink Expo are calling for industry professionals to vote for their favourite products ahead of the event and those who vote will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win £250.
Three finalists will be chosen in accordance with the voting, and invited to present their entry to a panel of judges live at the show, who will then pick the champion.
Dan Dixon, Event Director, said: “The Great New Idea competition gives exhibitors the chance to shout about their latest innovations. We’ve already had some fantastic entries and we are encouraging everyone in the industry to review the products and vote for their favourite before the exciting live presentation final at the show.”

Aside from the competition, Food & Drink Expo will provide buyers from the grocery, wholesale, speciality retail, manufacturing and foodservice sectors with a unique opportunity to source new products and learn about the trends set to shape the UK food and drink industry over the coming years.
There will be around 600 exhibitors who will showcase their latest innovations to thousands of buyers and decision makers, all looking to place orders on the industry’s newest products. To vote, visit: http://www.foodanddrinkexpo.co.uk/products/category-a-great-new-idea
