Eco-friendly olive oil and a nitro plum porter are among the new products visitors will be able to see at Food & Drink Expo at the NEC Birmingham in April.
Food & Drink Expo is part of the UK Food & Drink Shows that will bring together 30,000 visitors and 1,500 exhibitors from across the grocery, hospitality, specialist retail and manufacturing sectors to network, see the latest innovations and gain invaluable insights. (See end of this article for more information.)
Here are just five examples of products buyers will be able to see at Food & Drink Expo:
Plum Porter nitro
Supplier: Titanic Brewery
Stand: Food & Drink Expo Beer Garden BG02
Established in Stoke-on-Trent in the back room of a pub 40 years ago, Titanic Brewery now brews more than three million pints a year, supplying pubs and venues across the country. Traditionally served as a cask ale, Titanic's renowned Plum Porter has been given the nitro treatment to create a richer, smoother porter served as a 30l keg product. The brewery will also be showcasing a new nitrogen-injected 440ml canned version of its True Stout.
Red Zero cider
Supplier: Sandford Orchards
Stand: Food & Drink Expo KK349
This family business will be showing Red Zero, an alcohol-free version of its best-selling Devon Red that it says is made using a process that extracts the alcohol but leaves all the flavour of a fermented cider. "I’ve always made cider in what I believe is the right way," says Sandford Organics founder Barny Butterfield. "That is to press true cider apples, ferment from fresh juice, allow that juice to mature, age and develop and then, only when we’re happy that it’s ready, we will blend and package that cider."
MD95+ stick blender
Supplier: Dynamic
Stand: Food & Drink Expo LL279
French business Dynamic started out as a supplier of juicers for bars and restaurants and now makes a wide range of products for professional kitchens. The supplier has this year launched the MD95+ stick blender with integrated probe, which has been developed for pastry chefs and chocolate makers. It features a blade designed to streamline the emulsification process, variable speeds between 3,000 and 11,500 rpm and a control panel that enables users to check the temperature while adjusting the speed.
Terra Delyssa refill pouch
Supplier: CHO Group
Stand: Food & Drink Expo KK290
Terra Delyssa, which is produced from single-origin Tunisian olives, is the flagship brand of vertically integrated olive oil supplier CHO Group. The business is showcasing two new products at the UK Food & Drink Shows: a Terra Delyssa refill pouch described as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional glass bottles; and a Terra Delyssa Squeezable Bottle that enables users to easily control portion sizes.
Ginagain 02 and Ginagain RTDs
Supplier: Ginagain Spirits Limited
Stand: Food & Drink Expo QQ330
Ginagain founder Rick Allen was inspired to combine his passion for gin with the citrus fruits of his Californian roots. He and his wife Stephanie initially created the gin recipes in California, and had them distilled in the UK, but have this year moved to London themselves. They will be showcasing two products: Ginagain 02, which launched last year and features organic California grapefruit, fresh basil and ginger root; and their new Ginagain & Tonic RTDs that they describe as differing from many RTDs by tasting crisp and dry rather than sweet.
Taking place at the NEC Birmingham from Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 April, the 2025 UK Food & Drink Shows comprises four shows that each target a sector of the food and drink industry
- Farm Shop & Deli Show brings together hundreds of suppliers to showcase the best of local and speciality produce to retailers and buyers.
- Food & Drink Expo provides buyers from retail, hospitality, wholesale, foodservice and manufacturing with information and product sourcing opportunities. To reflect the growth in the UK eating out market and continued blurring of the lines in the food and drink sectors, The Restaurant Show is this year integrated into Food & Drink Expo.
- National Convenience Show provides a platform for the convenience retailing sector to come together, from suppliers and wholesalers through to retailers.
- Foodex Manufacturing Solutions is the UK’s leading trade event for the food and drink processing, packaging and logistics industries.
Once again, UK Food & Drink Shows will feature a packed programme of expert speakers, insightful panels and inspiring demonstrations on topics and trends that are driving the industry.
New themed areas are being introduced including the Coffee Zone, the Packaging Zone, the Future Food Zone and the Business Advice Hub, which will provide access to free business advice and services.
Also new for this year will be dedicated street food areas serving a wide selection of exciting dishes and snacks to visitors.
